Working at SeaGrown means taking a practical, deliberate role in the future of our oceans. From our base on the North Yorkshire coast, our team brings together maritime skills and marine science to pioneer Nature-based Marine Recovery in the open waters of the North Sea.

We grow seaweed offshore using our patented Kelpedo system. Out in our Marine Recovery Zone, this thriving biomass does vital work every day, absorbing carbon naturally, driving nutrient uptake, and creating a stable habitat for dozens of marine species. It takes a coordinated, capable crew to keep these operations moving forward.

We need an experienced hand for a working deck aboard our vessel, Bright Blue. You will bring basic STCW safety training alongside Slinger and Banksman certificates, and we will put your practical maritime skills to work out on the water.

Ocean Science Technician

This role bridges our laboratory environment and the open sea to support our Nature-based Marine Recovery work. You will conduct sampling, maintain environmental monitoring equipment, and process scientific datasets. Bring a relevant technical background and strong problem-solving skills, and you will be at the centre of our data collection.
