If you ask Jo what a typical day looks like, she'll tell you there’s no such thing! As General Manager, her role is the central hub connecting every aspect of our mission. One morning might be spent deep in the logistics of an offshore deployment with the marine crew, ensuring our Kelpedo™ systems are ready for the demanding conditions of the North Sea or shaping our "Plant a Tree in the Sea" ESG proposition for corporate partners. The next, she could be focused on strategy planning for the future direction of the company, ensuring we have the resources and plans in place to achieve our ambitious goals.
A huge part of Jo's role is connecting the dots. She is the crucial link between our pioneering science, our demanding offshore work, and our commercial success. We asked her what she finds most rewarding about such a varied position:
"My role is incredibly dynamic, which is both the biggest challenge and the greatest reward. It’s about ensuring that our groundbreaking science and our robust offshore operations translate into real, tangible success – whether that’s a successful product launch or a new ESG partnership. My job is to keep all those moving parts working together, steering us towards our ultimate goal of making a measurable, positive impact on our oceans."
